Freeburg Library is holding a Gingerbread Contest! Enter a gingerbread creation into our contest! The best entry in each of three categories will win a $50.00 cash prize courtesy of the Friends of Freeburg Library.
Create an original gingerbread structure: house, castle, rocket......The possibilities are endless!
When? Pick up an entry form and contest rules by Nov. 26 at the library circulation desk. Turn in your entry on Tuesday Dec. 4. between 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Judging takes place on Dec. 5. Entries on display Dec. 6, 7, & 8.
Who? The categories are: youth age 11 and under, teens 12-18 and teams (groups of 2 or more friends and family members, or organizations like Girl and Boy Scout troops.)
How? Pick up an entry form and rules at the circulation desk.
Prizes? Best entries in each category will receive a $50.00 cash prize provided by the Friends of Freeburg Library. People's Choice ribbon by public vote Dec. 6 & 7. Voters will vote with coins. Proceeds will be given to the Freeburg Food and Clothing Pantry.
Gingerbread Story Time on Sat. Dec. 8 at 11:00 a.m. Prize winners announced. Come see the contest creations, gingerbread stories, gingerbread craft and gingerbread cookies!
