It's Tax Time Again!
A limited number of tax forms will be available at the library.
It’s that time of year! Tax Time! Freeburg Library has a limited number of tax forms available in the foyer of the main entrance. The IRS is printing a limited number of forms and the library has no control over when the forms arrive or how many we receive. Patrons may go to www.irs.gov/Forms-&-Pubs to print forms from home.
Illinois is printing even fewer forms and the library will receive only a small number of copies near the end of February. Residents may go to http://tax.illinois.gov/taxforms/ to print forms from home. The library will print forms for $0.15 per side. Residents may also go to the Illinois Department of Revenue Office in Fairview Heights at 15 Executive Drive - Suite 2; 618-624-6773. That office is open 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. The local Internal Revenue Service office is also in Fairview Heights at 380 Fountain Office Court; (618) 632-2567. Office hours there are Monday-Friday - 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Closed for lunch 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.).
Residents are asked to remember that the library employees are not trained to give tax advice or to advise as to which forms are needed by individuals.
