TumbleBooks Club
Students Kindergarten through 3rd grade are invited to join the TumbleBooks Club!
TumbleBooks is a website resource for e-books for children. Freeburg Library subscribes to the service and the link button is found on our homepage. TumbleBooks website contains books children can read on a computer and some that can be downloaded to an ipad. The animated books are read aloud with highlighted text for following along, or the sound can be muted for independent reading. Most titles have tests like an Accelerated Reader test, games or puzzles that children can do to boost comprehension.
TumbleBooks Club is for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Students who read ten TumbleBooks online and fill in a short book report for each title between October 1 and December 15 will receive a prize from our treasure chest.
Sign up begins October 1. TumbleBooks Club packets are available at the library. The packet contains an information sheet and the book report forms. One packet may be turned in per semester. The club will continue in January when another packet may be used for another 10 books.
Most of the book titles on TumbleBooks are on the Accelerated Readers list used by Freeburg Grade School and St. Joseph Grade School.
